NEW HEIGHTS: NEW COMMUNITY CENTRE

centre

The centre was built with funding from a number of organisations who at their heart have the environment as their core value. We had to ensure we adhere to the guidelines of the funding criteria. This includes – the use of an underground source heat pump – which takes energy and converts this to electricity – we have a display in the foyer that informs us of our consumption and we are hopeful that we will in time be giving back to the national grid instead of taking resources from it. The centre also has solar panels and rain water recycling system which is used to flush all the toilets within the centre
