New Heights Drop-in Cafe
Our Drop-in Café is the front door for all other services which are delivered by a range of new service providers.
The café is an avenue for opportunities to happen…
- To meet people
- To nurture friendships
- For training
- For jobs
- To work together and most of all
- To try our hot drinks, sandwiches and cakes!
Volunteering at New Heights
In 5 years we consulted with over 3000 residents, recruited and trained over 90 active volunteers to deliver key services & invited partnership working. We have opened a café interface and in 2010, we built a community centre. We host 22 service partners offering wide range of services.
From having no services we now have over 22 partners working at New Heights reaching over 500 people weekly. In 5 years, over 450 people gained qualifications. The Café is extended to offer domestic abuse service (one to one counseling/advice, befriending and advocacy). Our volunteers run the café, community centre, visit homes & other services.
